The Tuigan Horde Invasion
Under the leadership of Yamun Khahan, a massive unification of the nomadic tribes of the Endless Wastes—known as the Tuigan Horde—launched an unprecedented invasion of the West. After crushing the armies of Thay and Rashemen, the Horde spilled into the Dalelands and threatened the heart of the Realms.
The invasion was only halted by a historic "Crusade" led by King Azoun IV of Cormyr, who united an unlikely coalition of Zhentarim, Dalelanders, and even Orcish mercenaries. The final battle at the Golden Way saw the defeat of the Khahan, saving Faerûn from a permanent nomadic conquest but leaving the Eastern borders of the Realms scarred and wary for generations.
