Godswar Aftermath and Divine Shifts

Following the restoration of the Tablets of Fate, the pantheon was fundamentally restructured. The mortal Midnight ascended as the new Mystra, and Cyric assumed the portfolios of Bane, Bhaal, and Myrkul. This event signaled to all mortals that the gods were no longer distant, immutable forces, but entities whose power was tied to their worshippers and the dictates of the Overgod Ao. The "Divine Shifts" left many temples in ruin and religious orders in a state of civil war as they adjusted to their new masters.
